Good video. I have the OK1 because it has a longer handle. My JP Peltonen Ranger knife was lost, so I had to get a new knife to replace it. I didn't want to buy an expensive knife, but I still wanted a reliable knife. OK1 seems fine. Maybe the blade could be longer. On the other hand, a knife will never replace an ax no matter how long the blade is. Maybe I'll buy a Hultafors ax too.

Having the right axe for the job = a life well lived. By the way, the Swedish ä is more or less a Canadian e, as in ”eh”. Gräns = Grens, and Fält = Felt. If you want to go for extra points, the Swedish ”rs” consonant blend sounds like ”rsh”. Grens forsh. Once you get the hang of it, Swedish isn’t that different from English, really. I mention all this because these particular words are good bushcraft words to know, if you ever visit Sweden or Norway. Gränsfors (Grens forsh) means something like ” boundary waterfall”. Fält (Felt) means ”field”. The operations where Helle, Gränsfors Bruk, and Casström are made can all be visited, and are not all that far apart in terms of driving time, unless the snow is deep. And there is one more good bushcraft word; ström (strem) means ”stream”. So if you look on the map and it says forsström, expect some whitewater. 🇸🇪

I have the 4 inch Saker and this Seesii one is a nice upgrade with the longer bar!

After watching this I went on Amazon and checked out several different saws. There were a few negative comments for each mainly with battery life and performance and some others with motor fails etc. How's yours holding up so far?

Tops Tahoma. Absolute beast of knife that will plow through anything I throw at it. And it's purdy.

My Favorite is the TOPS Brothers of Bushcraft (BoB) Fieldcraft 154cm Knife. I have a very nice leather sheath for it as the plastic sheath it comes with just wasn't gonna cut it for me. Knife has good wieght to it and a thick spine (had to put a 90 degree angle on the spine cause it didn't come with one which is weird) all in all it has done quite well for me. I also carry a Council Tool camp carver Axe with it. I don't have any complaints about it yet as I've only had it for a little under a year. and a tried and true baaco laplander folding saw.

I find the best advices for these kind of stoves you kind of hinted at it when you said havent found the best one. The best advice is find one you can get going the easiest for you and keep going. For if oops i get lost and gotta shelter in place this could be i got safe water vs um is it or is not safe

Re. the fire steel scraper at the bottom, you know you can put the knife back in the sheath and use it to make it safe. Also, it's best if you grab it in reverse grip and point the scoop away from you as you scrape the fire steel. It's supposed to ricochet the sparks judging by the shape. I think I'll get one of these, thank you for the video, I hope this little piece of info helps the least bit.

Well, everyone does not like bacon…..some of us are plant based/vegans. That said, the quality of yours is way beyond that of regular (albeit, toxic) store bought ones.

I can't imagine aluminum holding up to open flame after repeated uses. Also, gonna burn your hand so it should come with a hot glove.

I stake my life on my Busse combat /swamprat blades. Also like the fallkniven, Spartan blades, randall, and yes, a few cold steels . And lion steel. And GSO … dang give me five more minutes and I’ll think of another one I like !
